I’m slowly but surely getting through my list. doing it all via iPhone is a pain in my ass. the day before yesterday I watched peter bogdonavich’s the last picture show. damn it if this one didn’t have me crying like a beotch too. it’s about life and love in a small Texas town. I was blown away. I don’t think there’s one thing I didn’t like about this. I loved that it was in black and white. I loved the relationship between jeff bridges and timothy bottoms(who totally should’ve been a superstar). I loved cybil sheppard as the small town ditz that only cared about her self. ben johnson was fantastic as the wise old man(okies represent!) and I was floored by cloris leachman! how can she pull of this amazing dramatic role and simultaneously be one of the funniest humans on the planet? the last picture show is the shit and I’ll probably watch it once a month for the rest of my life.
